The United States Automotive Corporation was founded in late 1919 as a holding company for Ansted assets:
- Ansted Engine Company
- Connersville Foundry Corporation
- Lexington Motor Company
Lexington and Ansted went into receivership by 1923. Most of the assets were bought by the Auburn Automobile Company in 1927, which used the plants for automobile body production.
