Trabzon hurma or Cennet hurma is a popular fruit in Turkey and is also consumed as dried fruit. The name comes from Trabzon as the Black Sea coasts are traditional producers of persimmons. In Turkish Trabzon hurma (or Trabzon hurması) literally means "Dates of Trabzon" and the alternative name, Cennet hurma (or Cennet hurması) "Dates of Paradise".
