English: The Titterten Tunnel in the municipality of Erschwil (Jura mountain range in the Swiss canton of Solothurn, an area called "Schwarzbubenland") was constructed around 1960 to facilitate transport of timber from the forests in the mountainous area. The name of the tunnel is not connected to the village of Titterten in the canton of Basel-Landschaft (which is in the same region), but derives from the name of the rock wall through which it runs.
