English: An archaeological site on a hilltop near the southern bank of the Levuvhu River in the northern Kruger Park, Limpopo, South Africa. The Vhalembethu chiefdom of Makahane / Makhahani was named Thulamela for the numerous anthills of the area.[1] It was occupied from the 13th to 16th centuries and may have had links with the Zimbabwe culture.
