The regional unit of Thessaloniki is subdivided into 14 municipalities : Ampelokipoi-Menemeni, Chalkidona, Delta, Kalamaria, Kordelio-Evosmos, Langadas, Neapoli-Sykies, Oraiokastro, Pavlos Melas, Pylaia-Chortiatis, Thermaikos, Thermi, Thessaloniki and Volvi.
