Templo de las Américas is a catholic church built in 1994 near the archaeological site of La Isabela, the first Spanish settlement in the New World. Popular tradition in the Dominican Republic considers this building a replica of the original church built in La Isabela settlement. Nevertheless, only the foundations of the original church remain today in the archaeological site and no plans or drawings are available on the historical record.
