The «tower building» on Moholmen in Mo i Rana was built in 1893 in Swiss chalet style for the local merchant Lars Aagaard Meyer (1831 – 1909), with decorative carved mouldings of wood around the windows. The building was restored in 1990 in order to recreate most of its original outer appearance and look.
The building was leased by Freemasons in Mo i Rana on 21 November 1973, and was used during the initiation of a deputy Lodge on 30 October 1974. It was bought by freemasons on 31 December 1987. The building is the property of Lodge no 31 of St. John «Polarcirkelen» (the arctic circle) and Lodge no 14 of St. Andrew «Helgeland».
The ground floor of the building was leased to The department of Natural history of Rana museum from 1990 to 5 October 2008.Tårnbygget på Moholmen i Mo i Rana ble bygd i 1893 i Sveitserstil for den lokale handelsmannen Lars Aagaard Meyer (1831 – 1909), med rikt utskårete listverk omkring vinduene. Bygningen ble leid av frimurere i Mo i Rana den 21. november 1973, og tatt i bruk under innvielsen av en deputasjonsloge den 30. oktober 1974. Den ble kjøpt av frimurere den 31. desember 1987. Bygningen eies av St. Johannesloge nr 31 «Polarcirkelen» og St. Andreasloge nr 14 «Helgeland».
