The former parish church of Perranzabuloe built to replace the earlier medieval church, which is closer to the coast. The visible remains are typical of a 12th-13th century cruciform church with a south aisle and tower added in the 15th century. There were problems with encroachig wind-blown sand and this church was abandoned in 1795 for a third church built further inland.
