English: Former L&YR shed, opened 1891, situated on the north side of the running tracks, east of Southport Chapel Street station. Coded 23C from 1935-1950, then 27C from 1950-1963 and finally 8M until closure in June 1966. Used from 1971-2000 as the 'Steamport' museum.
