English: The Southern New England Railway built concrete abutments and piers for numerous bridges across southern Massachusetts. (Only some segments of right of way were prepared in Rhode Island, with few if any bridge structures built.) Few or no bridges ever had steel superstructures or decks, but many of the supports remain.
