Please Note: This is not the Shelly Beach Battery, it is one of the four 3.7inch Anti Aircraft Gun Pits, two of which are still visible on the Shelly Beach Track to North Head. The Shelly Beach Gun was on the headland overlooking the beach. I suggest you get a hold of a copy of "THE FRAGILE FORTS" by P. Oppenheim. Regards, S.F.Pentland, Ranger SHFT.
