In the UK for Meteorological purposes, the seasons are split into four three month periods: Spring (March, April, May); Summer (June, July, August); Autumn (September, October, November); Winter (December, January, February).
Astronomical seasons are defined by equinoxes and solstices: Spring (March 20/21 to June 21/22); Summer (June 21/22 to September 22/23); Autumn (September 22/23 to December 21/22); Winter (December 21/22 to March 20/21).
