English: The Schuylkill Permanent Bridge at Middle Ferry, precursor to the modern Market Street Bridge in Philadelphia. Opened January 1, 1805; altered and rebuilt in 1850; destroyed by a fire in November 1875 and replaced with a temporary bridge; replaced by an iron truss cantilever bridge in 1898; replaced with current Market Street Bridge in 1932.
