The San Joaquin Marsh is a 500-acre constructed wetland along San Diego Creek in Irvine, Orange County, California, just above Upper Newport Bay. Located within the marsh are the San Joaquin Wildlife Sanctuary (approximately 300 acres, owned by the city) and the San Joaquin Marsh Reserve (approximately 200 acres, owned by the University of California).[1][2] The San Joaquin Marsh "neighborhood" also includes part of the city across San Diego Creek by the UCI campus.[3]
