Saint John of Nepomuk church. Neoclassical. Built in 1838-1841. Planned by Vilmos Pichl. Built under the direction of Ferenc Vojtha. On the main square, on a small mound, stands the church with an east-west axis. 30m high. Its tower is decorated with a gilded cross globe and cross. In front of its main façade: portico with 6 huge Tuscan columns. The pictures decorating the church were taken in Vienna in 1840. The main altarpiece depicts St. John of Nepomuk, painted by Karl Mauer. The Virgin Mary side altar painted by Friedrich Schilker, on the other side altar We see King Louis IX . of France. He is the patron saint of carpenters, stonemasons. It was a fashionable saint in the 19th century, but it may have been put in at the request of master builders. This picture was painted by W. Zimmermann. The main altar and pulpit are made of softwood, and the baptismal fountain is red marble with a copper roof. The organ was made by the Viennese company Deutchmann.
