English: This street is named after Francisco Xavier de Ataide Oliveira (Born Algoz 2 October 1843 - Died Loulé 20 November 1915). He was a writer and an archaeologist and Theologian. At age 42, he becomes the Privative Conservator of the Land Registry of the Loulé Region. It is during this period that he begins to be willing to devote himself to studies and investigations about the Algarve's past and the collection of oral traditions.
