Brighton's Royal Mail Sorting Office (also formerly a telephone exchange) occupies an entire block between North Road (south façade, built in 1926) and Gloucester Road (north façade, later and more utilitarian in style). The site was originally the Regent Iron Foundry, operational for about 100 years until 1912.
