English: Ruins of aqueduct (water conduit) – The water conduit traversing the middle section of the civilian town of Aquincum ran for cca. five km from the fourteen springs (which is excavated in the vicinity of today’s Roman baths) to the military amphitheatre. It was made up of pillars interconnected by arches, but underground conduits have also been excavated. Water from the springs was raised by tympana to the conduits on top of the pillars. - Szentendrei Road., Budapest District III
Magyar: Római vízvezeték pilléreinek maradványai. Az aquincumi polgárvárost a közepe táján átszelő vízvezeték öt km hosszan húzódott: a mai Római fürdő területén feltárt tucatnyi forrástól a katonai amfiteátrumig. Elsősorban boltívekből összekötött pillérekből állt, de néhol földalatti vezetékeket is feltártak. A források vizét emelőkkel juttatták el a pillérek tetején elhelyezkedő vezetékekbe, amelyeknek felső részébe függőlegesen karvastagságú ólomcsöveket építettek be.
