Richard Newell Stephen Joseph Wrathall (8 February 1906–6 April 1972) was a New Zealand, trade unionist and politician. He was an engineering clerk and both an executive member of the Auckland Trades Council and Clerical Workers' Union. He was the Labour Party candidate in the North Shore seat at the 1951 general election. He was vice-president of the Auckland Labour Representation Committee and a candidate for the Auckland City Council in 1947, 1950 and a 1952 by-election. He was selected to be Labour's candidate for Mayor of Auckland at the 1953 election, but withdrew after his party membership was suspended.
