Category:Rayfield carburetors
Rayfield carburetors were made before 1910 well until the 1930s for automobiles, trucks, and buses. They were made by the Findeisen & Kropf Manufacturing Co. in Chicago, Illinois, from the 1900s until early 1919, and then by Beneke & Kropf Manufacturing Co. It seems that they were bought out by Schebler-Marvel in the late 1920s. Production ended in the 1930s. Their best known application is in the Ford Model T, the earliest known yet in the Abresch trucks (1910-1912), an the latest for 1929-1931 Chevrolet. Other car makes which used them oem were Rayfield (with unclear connection between these companies), Case, Reo T-5, and Westcott; further trucks were Acme, Bessemer, or Garford. Rayfield carburetors were also offered as aftermarket parts.
