This bronze sculpture of Ramon Llull (1966) is located on Passeig de Sagrera and is a work of the Basque sculptor Horacio de Egia. The pedestal contains four inscriptions, one on each side. On the front, under the coat of arms of the city, it is a Catalan inscription, which translates as follows: The city of Mallorca to Ramon Llull. 1967. On one side it is another text, Justitia procurat pacem et injuria bellum. Humilia verba sunt nuntii pacis et superba belli (Liber Proverborum, p. III, cap. LIII) [Justice brings peace and injustice, war. Humble words are a sign of peace, and proud words of war]. On the other side it is another text, Amor és aquella cosa qui los francs met en servit e a los serfs dona llibertat (Llibre d'Amic e Amat, 295) [Love is what puts freemen into servitude and gives freedom to the serves]. On the back is a text in Arabic, which is poorly transcribed and has no meaning.
