English: Railway stations in Switzerland with 2000 or more passengers per day. These are most of the busiest stations in Switzerland.
  • Data is average daily traffic, Monday to Sunday, in 2018 per SBB.ch data (source/license: [1][2]).
  • The data covers ca. 900 of the 1959 stations at Wikimedia Commons.
  • Passengers in these numbers are people boarding trains or exiting trains. A daily commuter at their origin is counted as 2 there, at their destination as 2, and, if changing trains at a station, as 4 at the interchange station.
  • Stations with reported numbers below 2000 are not included. Some have their numbers impacted by:
    • line closures in 2018. Examples: Embrach-Rorbas, Aadorf
    • not all operators provide data. Examples: Murten/Morat without TPF, Suhr without AVA, Bex without TPC, Rheineck without AB, Tavannes without CJ, Brienz without BRB.
