Information about the animal

The domestic chicken (Gallus gallus domesticus) is a domesticated subspecies of the Bankiva chicken and one of the best-known farm animals in the world. It is a flightless bird that comes in different colours and shapes, depending on breed and breeding line. Domestic chickens are social animals that usually live in groups or flocks. They are known for their ability to use a variety of vocalizations and body language to communicate. These birds are mainly bred for egg production and meat, but some breeds are also kept for their daintiness or as pets. Domestic chickens are known for their ability to lay eggs in large numbers and their diet consists mainly of grains, insects and plant material. Domestic chickens have been closely associated with human culture for thousands of years and have given rise to a variety of breeds that differ in size, colour and purpose. They are a symbol of fertility, food and agricultural activity and have a permanent place in human society.
