History
[edit]- 1902 Named: Orontes for the Orient Steam Navigation Co. Flag: United Kingdom
- 24.10.1902 Maiden voyage, left London for Suez, Melbourne and Sydney.
- 10.1916 Became a troopship
- 25.10.1919 Resumed Australia service with calls at Gibraltar, Toulon, Port Said, Colombo, Fremantle, Adelaide, Melbourne, Sydney and an extension to Brisbane.
- 1921 Laid up in the Thames
- 1922 Sold for conversion into an exhibition ship and renamed British Trade.
- 1923 Repossessed by Orient Line and reverted to Orontes.
- 1926 Scrapped.
