English: Media related to the Orange Line (TRAX), a planned Utah Transit Authority (UTA) light rail line in Salt Lake City, Utah, United States, that will connect the Salt Lake International Airport with the University of Utah Research Park, with a connection to the FrontRunner (UTA's commuter rail along the Wasatch Front), as well as connections to UTA's three other TRAX lines (Blue, Green, and Red). The line was temporarily put operation for several weekends during the summer and early fall of 2017 to accommodate construction projects withing the TRAX system. The line is a modification of the previously planned (and temporarily operated in 2017) Black Line.

While the previously planned Black Line ran entirely on existing TRAX tracks, the Orange Line is anticipated to have two significant routing modifications. First, after connecting with North Temple Bridge/Guadalupe station, instead of turning east on South Temple (towards Arena station), it will continue south along new trackage on South 400 West towards a new station (300 South) before turning east along new trackage on West 400 South. After connecting two other new stations (Pioneer Park and West Temple) it will continue east on new trackage to South Main Street. East of South Main Street it will run along existing tracks to the Library station and beyond. Second, after connecting with University South Campus station and turning north on Mario Capecchi Drive (towards Fort Douglas station), it will turn south along Mario Capecchi Drive to another new station (Mario Capecchi) and then continuing southeast (leaving existing roads) to reach its eastern terminus at still another new station (Arapeen) to be located in the University of Utah Reasearch Park in the median of and near the north end of Arapeen Drive.

At the same time Orange Line service begins it is also anticipated that the other three existing TRAX lines will have their routes modified as well. After connecting with the Arena station, the Blue Line will continue north along the current route of the Green Line to Airport station. The Green Line will resume its original routing (before being extended to the airport) and, after connecting with the Arena station, will turn south along the current Routing of the Blue Line to the Salt Lake Central station. After connecting with the Ballpark station, it will turn northwest on new trackage towards two more new stations (300 West and 800 South). It will then turn north along new trackage along South 400 West to connect with one more new station (600 South) before turning east to run along the new trackage built for the Orange Line. After connecting with the planned Pioneer Park and West Temple stations it will continue east to run along its original routing east of South Main Street.
