English: OpenVMS (Open Virtual Memory System), previously known as VAX/VMS or just VMS, is a server operating system that runs on the VAX, Alpha, Itanium, and x86-64 computer architectures. Now owned by VMS Software Inc., the system was originally developed by Digital Equipment Corporation in the 1970s.
