North Paravur (Malayalam :വടക്കൻ പറവൂർ, also Paravur, Paravoor) formerly known as Parur is a town and municipality in Ernakulam district in the Indian state of Kerala. Paravur is the capital of Paravur Taluk in the Ernakulam district. Though considered a part of Kochi for all practical purposes, the town is 17 km away from Edappally in city of Kochi.
