English: Custom motorcycles, built from either a BSA engine in a Norton frame or a Norton engine in a BSA frame. Usually the engine is twin-cylinder, but some have been built with a Gold Star single-cylinder engine. This was cheaper than a Manx Norton engine, and easier to maintain for the clubman racer.
There are variations on the name, including Norsa, Norstar, Norbstar, NorBSA, NorBeesa, NorBeeza. A Norton with a BSA Gold Star engine may be called a "Norbstar".
