English: The New Leaf restaurant in Fort Tryon Park is located in what was the park's cafeteria and administration building. Designed by the Olmstead Brothers for John D. Rockefeller Jr., who then turned the entire park over to the city, the building fell into disrepair, and was rediscovered by singer Bette Midler and her friends in 1995, and who founded the non-profit New York Restoration Project to restore and renovate the building and turn it into a modern restaurant. The NYRP ran New Leaf until 2015, when it was taken over by COFFEED, which donates a fixed portion of its gross revenue to local charities. (Source: [1])
