English: The BX series was the lowest tier of Nakamichi's third-generation decks (below LX, RX, ZX7/ZX9 and of course the Dragon). It was introduced in 1982 with two-head models BX-1 and BX-2; these were the first Nakamichis to use a third-party, off-the shelf OEM transport made by Sankyo. The second run of BX models (BX-100 to BX-300) was introduced in 1984-1985. The Nakamichi ZX-5 was a variant of BX-300 for the domestic Japanese market. The MR-1 and MR-2 "professional" decks were variants of BX-300 and BX-150 in rack-mountable enclosures with balanced connectors and somewhat different function sets.
