Aircraft was at some point obtained by the Civil Air Patrol's Greene County Composite Squadron of Xenia, Ohio; registered as NC42050 and reclassified to its civilian model designation J-3C-65-8. Donated in 1971 to the National Museum of the United States Air Force.
