English: Buses in the UK which have been substantially modified from their original manufactured condition. This can be for various reasons, including but not limited to:
- Repairs (e.g. due to accident damage)
- Upgrades or changes (e.g. to accommodate a different engine)
- Conversion into an ancillary vehicle
- Conversion into mobility busesN
- Modification for some trial or experimental purposeN
- Modification to fulfil some form of special/unique purposeN
N - This category does not include:
- Conversions to standard open top buses
- Mobility buses built from new standard buses
- Buses which have been completely rebodied (either singly or as production batches)
- Demonstrator buses
- Relatively common internal conversions only (e.g. for caravan or catering buses)
- Non-structural decorative customisation
- Any modification made to a non-bus vehicle (ie a truck) to produce a mock up bus
