Deutsch: Das Kaufhaus Meislahn in der Holstenstraße 38 - 40, Ecke Holstenbrücke, wurde 1936/37 von Ernst Stoffers errichtet, wo schon seit 1840 ein Geschäftshaus stand. 1891 erwarb der Kaufmann Ferdinand Meislahn drei Gebäude und baute sie im Gründerzeitstil umfangreich um. Sein Schwiegersohn Wilhelm Hacker ließ den Neubau bauen.
English: The Meislahn department store at Holstenstrasse 38 - 40, at the corner of Holstenbrücke, was built in 1936/37 by Ernst Stoffers, where a commercial building had stood since 1840. In 1891, the merchant Ferdinand Meislahn acquired three buildings and extensively rebuilt them in the Wilhelminian style. His son-in-law Wilhelm Hacker had the new building built.
