The Mate Masie is an Adinkra symbol (Akan religion, Ghana, Ivory Coast). It means translated: "I have heard, and I kept it." in the sense of listening and taking into account what the another person has said. This symbol symbolizes wisdom in connection with knowledge and prudence.
The most important charactistic is that this symbol is a symmertrical arrangement of curved lines which crosses never. This fact has a deeper philosophical significance.
