English: During the weekend of October 29-30, 2016, MBTA Green Line "B" Branch trains loaded at a normally-unused platform east of Lake Street, as track work was being performed at Boston College station. On October 30, a Type 8 car - the trailing unit in a two-car train - derailed while crossing over just east of the temporary station. The incident was neither uncommon nor severe, with no reported injuries, but happened to be recorded by a passing Commons photographer.
