The Toronto Transit Commission's Long Branch Loop is the western terminus of the Queen Street streetcar line. Both TTC buses, and buses of neighbouring Mississauga Transit, stop there. There are no washrooms for passengers in the unstaffed passenger terminal building. An electrical substation building is located at the NW corner of the site. Early in the 20th Century an independent company had built a streetcar line from Mimico to Port Credit. It was originally to run all the way to Hamilton. It used standard gauge rails, not the TTC's broad gauge.
