English: The Lockheed EC-121 Warning Star was an airborne early warning aircraft, first designated WV (originally, for a short time "PO") with the U.S. Navy (and with it U.S. Marine Corps) until 18 September 1962 when, with the introduction of the Tri-Service aircraft designation system, all aircraft in service were redesignated EC-121. Due to the original designation, U.S. Navy crews called the aircraft "Willie Victor". The U.S. Air Force originally used the designation RC-121 Warning Star.
