English: Loch Sloy was a three-masted iron-hulled barque built 1877 by D&W Henderson Ltd Glasgow (Yard No 178) for Glasgow Shipping Company (Loch line) for world-wide tramping. Dimensions were 225.5 × 35.6 × 21.2 ft (68.7 × 10.8 × 6.4 m), 11280 GRT, 1,225 NRT. Wrecked 1899 on passage from Glasgow to Adelaide and Melbourne on the coast of Kangaroo Island at the mouth of the Gulf of St. Vincent, South Australia. Only three people survived.[1][2]
