English: Loch Ryan was a iron-hulled barque and built by J&G Thomson, Glasgow, Yard No 150 for the General Shipping Co. Glasgow (Loch Line). 1910 sold to Government of Victoria, Melbourne, who had her converted into a training ship and renamed John Murray. She was wrecked 1918 on Malden Island in the Pacific Ocean returning from her first voyage to San Francisco.[1][2]
