A few tens of meters after entering the terrain there is a fountain, the Lion Fountain (Aslanlı Çeşme). An article written in 2018, after it was restored, said “In the İçkale Museum Complex, water started to flow again after a 30-year hiatus from the 130-year-old fountain where the lion statue from the Artuklu period was placed. It was built in the 1880s. There is a great demand, especially from brides and grooms who come to take photos in the museum."
