All or most of the rooms and corridors of the crypt are barrel-vaulted, being a functional part of the foundation construction which supports this massive stone building. There are two sets of police cells in the crypt of Leeds Town Hall. One set, below the Town Hall front lobby, is kept in good repair for tours of the Town Hall and other uses, and has been photographed here. The other set is derelict and inaccessible by the public.
