Deutsch: Der Kreis Stolp (1648-1939; 1939-1945 Landkreis Stolp) ging 1648 aus der Landvogtei Stolp hervor.
English: The Stolp District emerged with Brandenburg's succession in 1648 to the 1637 extinct dukes of Pomerania in their eastern realm, that is Farther Pomerania, from the medieval Landvogtei Stolp (Stolp Advocacy), its borders remained unchanged in the territorial reforms in 1724, 1818, weathered the 1876 redistricting by incorporating some enclaves and losing some exclaves, on 1 April 1898 the district capital Stolp became its own urban district, a new enclave amidst the rural district, but remained capital. Between 1815 and 1945 the district formed part of the Köslin Region.
