Deutsch: Das Landgericht Kiel und bis 1984 dort auch das Amtsgericht Kiel am Schützenwall 31-35 (Kiel-Südfriedhof) wurde 1922-1924 nach Entwurf des bereits am Bau der Justizvollzugsanstalt (1914-1919) beteiligten Regierungsbaurates Frank Hassenstein errichtet. Vorgängerbau war das Gerichtsgebäude Ringstraße 19–31, Ecke Königsweg. Nach erheblichen Bombenschäden im Zweiten Weltkrieg wurde das Gebäude am Schützenwall unter Erhöhung um ein Geschoß sowie Aufbringung eines neuen Walm- anstelle des vorherigen Mansarddaches wiederhergestellt. Neubau an der Harmsstraße in den 1950er gebaut und über eine Brücke mit dem Altbau verbunden.
English: The Kiel District Court and until 1984 the Kiel Local Court at Schützenwall 31-35 (district of Kiel Südfriedhof) was built between 1922 and 1924 according to a design by the government building councillor Frank Hassenstein, who had already been involved in the construction of the Kiel Correctional Facility (1914-1919). The predecessor building was the Court Building at Ringstrasse 19–31, corner of Königsweg. After extensive bomb damage during the Second World War, the building at Schützenwall was restored by raising it by one storey and adding a new hipped roof to replace the previous mansard roof. New building on Harmsstraße built in the 1950s and connected to the old building by a bridge.
