Deutsch: Klaus Ernst (* 1. November 1954 in München) ist ein deutscher Politiker (Die Linke) und ehemaliger Gewerkschaftsfunktionär. Ernst war Mitbegründer und geschäftsführendes Vorstandsmitglied der WASG. In der Partei Die Linke war er von 2007 bis 2010 stellvertretender Vorsitzender und ist seit dem 15. Mai 2010 neben Gesine Lötzsch Vorsitzender. Seit 2005 ist er Mitglied des Bundestages.
English: Klaus Ernst (born 1 November 1954 in Munich) is a left-wing German politician and was a leading member of the Labour and Social Justice Party and now The Left. The certified political economist has served as a member of The Left in the Bundestag since 2005, and as of 2010 has been co-chairing the party together with Gesine Lötzsch.
