Category:Kingsdale flats, Seacroft, Leeds
The Kingsdale flats are a complex of eight blocks of low-rise flats situated between Boggart Hill Road and Boggart Hill Crescent in Seacroft, Leeds. In recent years the flats have developed an especially poor reputation being referred to locally as the 'smackhead flats'. In 2020, Leeds City Council sought to acquire the flats from the housing association who had possession and buy up all the leaseholds from owner occupied flats following persistent problems with anti-social behaviour. [1] An inspection by council officers found evidence of fires being started both internally and externally, flooding, the ground floor flats having been broken into and being insecure and external doors to be insecure. In total there are 88 one-bedroomed flats.
