The organ and its case were built in 1688 for the palace of the Counts of Champagne in Troyes by Louis Le Bé who transferred them to Joinville in 1698 ; the instrumental part was rebuilt in 1837 by Jean-Baptiste Gavot, the whole thing was restored in 1981 by Jean-Georges & Yves Koenig.
