Deutsch: John Charles Fremont (bekannt auch als The Pathfinder) (* 21. Januar 1813 in Savannah, Georgia, † 13.
English: John C. Frémont (1813-01-21 – 1890-07-13) — known as The Pathfinder —
An explorer of North America, American military officer in the Mexican-American War (1840s), the first Republican Party Candidate for President of the United States in 1856, retrying in 1864.
Other notable offices held include: Military Governor of the territory of California (1847); First U.S. Senator from the new state of California (1850-1851); and Governor of Arizona Territory (1878-1881).
