English: Jeu de la Géographie, complete pack of 52 playing-cards plus a title card, published in Paris in 1644. Prints made by Stefano della Bella after Jean Desmarests; published by Florent Le Comte and Henri Le Gras. In this pack the title card bears a planisphere, and the other cards bear a female personification of a country or continent, the four suits representing the four known continents. Lettered on title card with series title and publisher's address: "A Paris, chez Henry le Gras, Libraire au 3.e pilier de la grande Salle du Palais". Lettered on each card with title, description and card number. These cards are second state, before letters and numbers were added. Although the address of Henri Le Gras appears on the frontispiece, only those prints of the later states, published by Florent Le Comte, bear an indication of suit and number. When Le Comte purchased the plates of all four games he removed Le Gras's address from only the 'Jeu des Rois' and the 'Jeu des Fables'. Made for Louis XIV, King of France (French, Saint-Germain-en-Laye, 1638–1715, Versailles). Commissioned by Cardinal Jules Mazarin (Italian, Piscina, 1602–1661, Vincennes).
