Between 1910 and 1935 Jean-Charles Worth was head designer of the House of Worth, succeeding his uncle, Jean-Phlippe Worth. He retired in 1935, when he was succeeded by his nephew, Roger Worth, and died in 1962 at the age of 81. Worth fashions designed between 1910 and 1935 would have been designed under the supervision of Jean-Charles, apart from a period during the First World War (1914-1918) when Jean-Philippe resumed his duties while his nephews went to war.
