English: Jan van Montfort (1567–1648), also known as Jean de Montfort, was a Flemish sculptor and medallist active in the Habsburg Netherlands in the first half of the seventeenth century. He was Assayer at the Antwerp Mint in 1602; Councillor and Master of the Mint in 1613 serving to Albert VII, Archduke of Austria and Isabella Clara Eugenia, Archduchess of Austria, Infanta of Spain, in which capacity he bore the title of Majordomo to the Infanta. He was also employed on political and diplomatic tasks. He resided for some time in France.
